What’s not to like about Marc?! He served as both our selling and buying agent and was the perfect mix of professional, assertive, helpful, personable and kind every step of the way. He exceeded our expectations in all areas and went out of his way to address all our needs. In fact, if we could give him more than 5 stars we definitely would!! He provided us with just the right advice needed to sell our house quickly and for top dollar. On the buying end he was always very proactive and knew us well enough to highlight the types of properties we wanted to see and always went out of his way to assist us. Marc is a natural at relating to people and handles difficult situations and challenging negotiations with grace and finesse. Our family had worked with many real estate agents in the past thirty years and I can easily say that Marc was one of the best. We are first-time purchasers in California and are from out-of-state. Marc worked respectfully to educate us about the market and the various areas. He has a tremendous amount of industry experience coupled with an understanding of the local market. He was extremely responsive and understanding throughout the offer and purchase process since the market in San Diego has been competitive. We had to make quick decisions and never once felt pressured. He was very diligent about following up on our offer and guiding us through the process. We found the right home for us and are delighted with our purchase. Since we are from out of state, Marc offered numerous excellent contacts and even met with contractors to make sure that all elements of our home were in order. He was always willing to meet workers at the house when we were unable to go because of our busy schedule. He arranged a pre-listing open house that found our buyer. Marc was wonderful to work with. He listened to what we were looking for and together we found the ideal house. He went out of his way to go to our new house to let in workers when were not in town. He gave us the names of people........from electricians to painters......to do work on the house. They were all excellent and their prices were fair. Marc always answered our calls and texts promptly and explained process to us which made it understandable. We lived out of state and Marc looked at some homes (that met our criteria) and contacted us once one became available. Back in November 2016, my brother and I were faced with the daunting task of selling our parent's home. Tasked with being a Trustee for our mom, I was completely at odds. Although I grew up in the house we were selling, I hadn't lived in the area for years. In fact, I live in another country altogether! And my brother lives 100 miles away from the house, so we were spatially challenged. I was lost and didn't know where to start.

I got on the ol' trusty internet and searched for local realtors in the area and found the website TopRankedAgents.com. I filled out a form and within a day I was introduced to Sea Coast Exclusive Properties! I received 4 Top Ranked Agents in the area and I heard from Sea Coast 1st. I was very impressed with a call back within 20 minutes of receiving notice that Marc was a top ranked agent and wanted to work with us. All I can say is WOW!

We had a nice chat and set a date to meet. I flew in just for the occasion and we were all thoroughly impressed right away with Marc. He was all gussied up and looked so sharp in a beautiful suit with the most handsome light brown pointy shoes I had ever seen. He even impressed my mother who is extremely frugal and picky!!! Clearly Marc was ready for our business even though we didn't know it yet. Mom loved Marc too, she thought he was so handsome and professional. They chatted up a storm. Myself, Marc, my brother and his wife had a great meeting and walk through of the home. We had no idea, but boy we were we in for a surprise!

Marc brought a package to leave with us that was filled with goodies of Sea Coast's marketing strategy and sales approach. He even sent us an entire presentation of the history of the area sales and the selling price he thought was very achievable. Marc's level of professionalism and availability was absolutely incredible! Being that I was in another country, I had Marc on speed dial and he was my ears and eyes on the ground! We were always communicating either by phone or by email and almost everything was done electronically between me and my brother. I only had to mail one package and that was for the escrow company. So, Marc has this online thing down to a T. The digital marketing and the foot work he did was astonishing....we had an offer before we even had an open house! Talk about expeditious.....truly, and his sense of humor - he was very entertaining.

Marc is especially good at negotiating and actually lives for it. No I mean really, you could always hear him pacing the room each time we talked and were negotiating because he loves it and is so good at it. It gives him a thrill and a level of energy I have never seen before. I think he wore out two pairs of shoes. Maybe that is why he stays in such great shape!

Marc is just an amazing guy to work with and an awesome confidant whom I now consider a friend. He did an outstanding job and the offer on our home came in just 4K under asking price, simply AMAZING!!! Marc always had great suggestions and excellent advice, even though sometimes it was hard to hear it. So knowledgeable and attentive. His attention to detail is impressive. He is very trustworthy, always honest and forthcoming. No holds barred....And his follow through skills, hmmm spot on I tell ya, spot on. Marc's timing is impeccable. I would be thinking about calling him and my phone would ring. I would be calling him and he was texting me. He definitely has ESP or something special like that.

I would HIGHLY recommend Marc Lavoie as your realtor of choice, and YOU can DEFINITELY take that to the bank......Hi Ho Hi Ho, it's off to sell I go, because I know I can, I know I can, I know I CAN, and HE did....

This is a long overdue review. Marc helped my husband and I, first time home buyers, close on our home in the beginning of the year. Marc is very knowledgeable and walked us through each step of the process and would message us or call with clear instruction of what needed to be done and why. There’s A LOT of paperwork that needs to be completed and Marc made sure we understood what we were signing. Marc was out eyes and ears throughout the process; he pointed out things that didn’t look right, referred great people when needed (loan agency, home inspector, handy-man, window company, etc.), and helped us with questions we had during the process and after we had already moved into the home.

Our home buying process was a long one due to a home that we had started escrow with but was contingent upon the sellers finding a home. At the time our offer was accepted, the sellers were already in the process of an inspection and decided to cancel on their offer; therefore delaying the timeline. We weren’t exactly in a hurry and the sellers had said they were actively looking, so it wasn’t a problem. However, this went on for nearly 5 months and our escrow money was still on hold. Throughout that time, Marc had to initiate communication and constantly follow up. Eventually, we had found a home we were interested in and decided to cancel our offer with the first home as there hadn’t been any movement or updates. When it came time to cancel, the sellers and agent were unresponsive. Marc had to again continually follow up, call and informed he would involve his broker if needed. The point is, Marc was devoted, did everything in his power to get this resolved within a short timeframe, and was our voice as we clearly didn’t know what to do and how.

I think many, to include myself, can agree that purchasing a home can be a stressful process. If you’re looking for someone who’s knowledgeable, understanding, and aggressive when needed, Marc is your guy.

I was out looking at investment rentals under $300K, used 2 other dysfunctional Realtors then by chance met Marc via an MLS posting. Asked question, he responded with more info than first 2 Realtors combined and QUICKLY! I had no idea about the incredibly competitive nature of properties in Carlsbad/Encinitas/San Marcos until Marc honestly educated me to the realities. To my surprise I was shocked that it was going to be a challenge to even be able to find one available and compete against full cash buyers. Marc knew it would be tough for me despite a perfect FICO, 25% cash down and a pre approval letter ready to go.
